KAHABA CHECKLIST

The deadline: For online submissions, please submit your nomination with all necessary attachments by 6 pm on January 31st. You will receive an invoice by 7 pm that must be paid upon receipt to be considered on time. Invoices not paid on January 31st will be considered late and a late fee invoice will be sent out on February 1st.

For combining: In the event multiple forms must be submitted, contact Katie Lauer via Facebook, email (caitlynlauer@yahoo.com), or phone (859-444-0204) to notify her. Forms can be combined and one invoice will be sent out. This also includes if you would like to bundle your nomination with another member and receive one invoice.

KAHABA Points Earning Horses Eligibility Check list

The horse was born and BRED/conceived in Kentucky

The horse was sired by a KAHABA nominated stallion, (See checklist for Stallion Nomination)

The dam must be BRED in Kentucky whether by live cover or with semen from OUT OF STATE SIRE. The foaling mare must reside in Kentucky 90 days prior to foaling.

The horse is an AHA Registered Purebred, Half‐Arabian, or Anglo‐Arabian.

Nominator must be a KAHABA member in good standing

KAHABA Horse Nomination Check list

The horse meets eligibility requirements.

Nominator must be a member in good standing of KAHABA

(KAHABA application form) along with copy of AHA card.

Nomination postmarked by Jan. 31st (after Jan. 31st, a late fee of $50.00 is incurred).

Horses foaled after 2013 must submit the Verification of Foaling form.

Submit copy of AHA registration paper of horse.

Complete and submit Horse Nomination area on KAHABA application form.

Letter of permission from recorded owner (if applicable).

Include payment for all fees required

(NEW - (To be eligible to participate in Production Classes, horse must be 3 or under and pay an additional fee of $25.00 along with the show Horse fee of $25.00.) See website for info on Production Classes “www.kahaba.org”

Distance Division - The horse must also be enrolled in the AHA Open Event Incentive Program (OEIP)

KAHABA Stallion Nomination Check list

Nominator must be a member in good standing of KAHABA

(KAHABA application form), along with copy of AHA card.

Nomination postmarked by Jan. 31st (after Jan. 31st, a late fee of $50.00 is incurred).

Complete and submit Stallion Nomination area on KAHABA application form.

For stallion to be considered standing in Kentucky must fill out Stallion Verification of Location at Stud

Submit copy of Registration papers

Letter of permission from recorded owner (if applicable).

Include payment for all fees required

KAHABA Registered Breeder Check list

Nominator must be a member in good standing of KAHABA

(KAHABA application form), along with copy of AHA card.

Breeder must be the recorded owner or documented lessee of mare at time of breeding per AHA

Nomination postmarked by Jan. 31st (after Jan. 31st, a late fee of $50.00 is incurred).

Complete and submit KAHABA Registered Breeder Nomination area on KAHABA application form.

Include payment for all fees required

Only one Breeder nomination required. Example: Two horses nominated have same breeder listed, only need to pay one breeder nomination.
